United Kingdom on Thursday said it would be investing up to 20 million Pounds in the African Union’s new ‘Africa anti-COVID-19 fund’ to slow down the spread of coronavirus and save lives. According to the statement, this makes the UK the largest national donor to the fund which was announced by Cyril Ramaphosa, Chairperson of the African Union (AU) and South Africa President, Cyril Ramaphosa, last month. It said that the funds would support African leaders and technical experts to slow the spread of coronavirus and save lives in Africa and worldwide. Suspected ritualists, who deal in human parts in Ogun State, got enraged and beat up some of their customers for failing to pay the agreed sum of N1m for a human hand that was supplied to them. The suspected ritualists reportedly lured their customers to a bush and beat them to a pulp for failing to pay for the human hand they asked them to provide. It was gathered that the human part dealers were contracted by three persons, who were interested in money-making rituals. The suspected ritualists demanded N1m for the ‘commodity’ but the buyers, identified as Matthew Idosu, John Feyisetan and Samuel Adegbola, could not come up with the sum after the hand had been delivered to them. Body Of Missing Man Found, Murdered, Buried By Brother In Auchi Usman Abdul Lateef a native of Akpekpe who has been missing since Wednesday (13th of May) has been found dead and buried in a bush by his cousin. The deceased was said to have left home on Wednesday with his cousin simply identified as Koma to the Guarantee Trust Bank’s Automated Teller Machine for a transaction but never returned. A heavy duty truck has allegedly crushed four (4) persons to   death in Bayelsa State, South South Nigeria. It was gathered that  the sad  incident occurred on  Sunday night along East- West Road, close to Sagbama  Junction, Bayelsa State. According to a reliable source, the truck lost its grip  and  ran  into the vehicle of  the  victims, sparing no life.  Whereas, the  victims are yet to be identified. A railway ticket office worker has died with corona virus after being spat at by a man who claimed he had Covid-19. Belly Mujinga, 47, who had underlying respiratory problems, was working at Victoria station in London in March when she was assaulted, along with a female colleague. Within days of the incident, both women fell ill with the virus. British Transport Police said an inquiry had been launched to trace the man who spat at the pair. Mrs Mujinga was on the concourse of Victoria station on 22 March when she was approached by the suspect. Her husband Lusamba Gode Katalay said the man had asked his wife what she was doing and why she was there. "She told him she was working and the man said he had the virus and spat on her," he added.
